Floating LNG - The Challenges of a Flexible Solution
Neil Rimmer, FLEX LNG, UK
One of the main advantages of floating LNG is the ability to move between different fields. However, as LNG plants tend to be very composition specific, it is challenging to come to a generic solution with regard to Hydrocarbon Composition (Rich v Lean), CGR, Condensate to Gas Ratio, Nitrogen, CO2 and Sulphur Content.
This paper discusses the FLEX LNG approach to these challenges and the ability of the LNG Producer to offer a solution for all the above.
