2009 The Spring Conference

Our second Technical Conference in 2009 The Spring Conference "Sour Gas Processing"  took place at the Dolce Hotel and Conference Centre in Sitges (nr Barcelona) Spain May 13th - 15th.

Gas development projects face growing challenges from increasingly contaminated resources, tightening sales specifications and tighter environmental emissions. Contaminants such as CO2, H2S, H2O, COS, mercaptans and other organic sulphur compounds will generally have to be removed from the gas prior to gas sale or liquefaction.

Projects are often large scale with a push to larger train sizes and require complex treating configurations to achieve specifications. Disposal of the contaminants is always an issue and location dependent.

This conference considered advances in acid gas and contaminant removal, how lessons learned have contributed to the development of technologies and acid gas disposal.

Papers presented at this conference can now be downloaded from the on-line library.
