Steve Massie, Criterion Catalysts and Technologies LP, USA
Low temperature tail gas treating catalysts have been shown to save on operating costs, capital expenditures and carbon dioxide emissions. As the use of low temperature catalysts expands, it is now recognized that “Low Temperature” abilities of a tail gas treating catalyst, even in “normal” temperature operation, can save on emission violations when unplanned operations occur including flameouts, off-ratio Claus operation, and indirect heater upsets, among others. Actual plant operations and results will be given.
