Offshore Gas Processing to meet French-UK Interconnector Sales Gas Specifications

Presented at Florence Conference byR Huddleston, Huddelston ConsultantsSeveral operators are proposing total offshore processing of the sour HP/HT gas in the UK CNS. The gas is currently intended for the UK-Continental Gas lnterconnector Pipeline. Meeting the specifications for the gas Wobbe Index, H2S and CO2 offshore is difficult and expensive, and is compounded by the further requirement to meet tough live condensate specifications for TVP and CO2. This paper describes the systems optimisation for gas sweetening, dehydration, hydrocarbon dew point control, condensate TVP, major process drivers and process cooling.Both the process system and facilities equipment selection results presented are a strong function of Life Cycle Economics, and will change as process variables change and vendor equipment improves.
