Paper of the Month

This month we are looking back to a paper from Dag Kvamsdal, Schlumberger. The most downloaded paper from last month, presented at the GPAE Technical Meeting & AGM 2018.

"Gas Dehydration – “Three-in One” Design Approach to TEG Contactor Tower"

" TEG Gas Dehydration plants often use an inlet and outlet gas scrubber. The first to protect the TEG unit the second to prevent TEG losses and reduce downstream problems.

Schlumberger have found a way to include both within the Dehydration Contactor tower. This eliminates two coded pressure vessels and their valves, instruments and piping. The same performance achieved at lower CAPEX and smaller footprint.

This paper will discuss some real-life stories where this approach has been successfully followed as well as some of the challenges in doing so.”
